DSS rescues minister, Soun as hoodlums attack palace in Ogbomoso
Suspected hoodlums on Sunday disrupted a meeting between the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi, and other chiefs.
The meeting was disrupted when some hoodlums attacked the Soun’s palace in Ogbomoso.
The PUNCH gathered that security operatives rescued the minister, the monarch, and other chiefs at the meeting.

End SARS: Respect protesters’ rights – UK warns Nigeria
British Government has called on Nigerian authorities to respect the rights of End SARS protesters.
The United Kingdom said this in reaction to several cases of assaults at protest locations.
On the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), the UK observed the promise by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, on rights violations.
Catriona Laing, British High Commissioner to Nigeria, gave her country’s position on Sunday.

Man allegedly kills his parents in Enugu during misunderstanding
A yet-to-be identified man has been arrested for allegedly killing his parents in Enugu State during an arguement.
It was gathered that the tragic incident happened on Sunday, October 11, at Mkporogwu Iheakpu-Awka community in Igbo-eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Four dead as building collapses in Lagos
Four yet-to-be-identified persons lost their lives on Sunday when a three-storey building collapsed in the Obalende area of Lagos Island, Lagos State.
The PUNCH gathered that eight other persons were injured.
The General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the incident while noting that the affected three-storey building located at 62, Odo Street, Obalende, Lagos Island, was under construction when it collapsed.

Tragedy: University Don, wife, three children, others killed in auto crash
It was a tragic weekend in Benue State after a University don, wife and three children, his colleague at the University of Mkar and another were Saturday evening crushed to death by a trailer at Gbatse Village along Ugbema-Adikpo Road in Ushongo local government area of the state.
Vanguard gathered from an eyewitness that the ghastly accident which occurred at about 5 pm involved a trucked conveying a scrapped vehicle and a stationary Toyota Camry car with registration number MKD-300-NH.
According to the eyewitness, the driver of the trailer who in an attempted to avoid a police checkpoint lost control of the vehicle and ran into the stationary Toyota car killing seven of the occupants while another sustained serious injury and in critical condition.

A viral video on social media has captured the moment a man caught his business partner at EndSARS campaign after he allegedly ran away with his money.
According to sources, the suspect allegedly did a transaction with the victim, and after the business worked, he run away without giving his partner his own share of the money.
After the victim tried finding him to no avail, the man finally found him at End Sars protest, as they both engage in a wrestling.
Eye witnesses gathered at the scene, trying to separate the fight, while some others wanted to mob the suspect.
