Popular Pastor Shoots Wife Dead
Sylvester Ofori, a popular US-based Ghanaian pastor, has shot his wife Barbara Tommey dead.
The incident took place outside the 27-year-old woman’s workplace at the Navy Federal Credit Union, near the Mall at Millenia in Orlando, on Tuesday 8th September 2020.
Barbara was shot by Sylvester, near the business’ front doors on the 4600 block of Gardens Park Boulevard just before 9 a.m., an Orlando Police Department spokesperson said.

Mother, 2-Yr-Old Daughter Die After Sleeping With Generator
The Enugu state police command has begun an investigation into the demise of a 32-year-old woman, Ifeoma Nwachukwu, and her two-year-old daughter, Chimuanya Nwachukwu.
A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, Ndukwe Daniel, says late Ifeoma and her daughter went to bed on September 3 and by the next day, September 4, failed to wake up.
The spokesperson said upon receiving the report, operatives of the Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, SP Henry Chijioke Imo, visited the scene of the incident. He said preliminary investigation showed that the deceased and her husband, one Joshua Nwachukwu, four children, and their two male visitors all slept in the same room after taking Spaghetti for dinner with a Generator said to be switched on in their sitting room.

Osimhen Turned Down Man Utd Because Of Ighalo
Victor Osimhen’s brother has revealed he turned down a potential move to Manchester United before joining Napoli for £54million.
The 21-year-old promising striker moved to the Italian club from Lille earlier this summer in the big-money deal, which made him Nigeria’s most expensive player.
Speaking in a new interview with Complete Sports, his brother, Andrew Osimhen disclosed that United were interested in signing him, but since his fellow Nigerian Odion Ighalo is already at Old Trafford, Victor decided not to make the move out of respect.

Nigeria’s Debt Hits N31trn
The Debt Management Office on Wednesday released Nigeria’s total public debt stock as of June 30, 2020.
The DMO set Nigeria’s entire debt at N31trn, indicating an increase of N2.38trn within a space of three months, a report by PUNCH said.
In reports released by DMO, the country’s total public debt stock includes the debt stock of the Federal Government, the 36 states, and the Federal Capital Territory.

COVID-19: Nigeria Would Have Lost $500 Million To Medical Tourism – Lawmaker
Nigeria would have lost at least 500 million dollars to medical tourism this year but for restrictions on foreign travels due to COVID-19, a lawmaker has said.
Tanko Sununu, the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Health Services, said thousands of Nigerians could not jet out of the country in search of medical care due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Mr Sununu, a laparoscopic surgeon, said this on Tuesday while making a presentation at a roundtable on health security policy and finance.

Gana’s Death: I’m Shocked, Says Ortom
Benue State Governor; Samuel Ortom has expressed shock over the interception of a government convoy, arrest and killing of Terwase Akwaza, aka Gana by military authorities.
Governor Ortom made his feelings known on Wednesday at the Government House Makurdi while briefing Journalists on the state of the second amnesty programme of his administration which covers Sankera geopolitical zone.
He however noted that he was still awaiting briefing from the Commander Operation Ayem A Kpatuma from Doma in Nasarawa State, Major General Moundhey Gadzama Ali who promised he was coming to brief him on their operation.

Jubilation In Taraba As Soldiers Kill Notorious Gang Leader
There was jubilation in the southern part of Taraba state on Wednesday following the news of the killing of the Benue most wanted warlord, Terwase Kwaza alias Gana by soldiers.
Youths, women, and the elders took to the streets of Takum, Wukari, and Donga local government areas dancing and singing to celebrate the killing of Gana who along with his gang have been terrorising the people of the area for the past five months.
The Nation gathered that shortly after the news of the death of Gana filtered into Takum town on Wednesday morning, the Youths of Takum in their large numbers took to the streets on their motorcycles jubilating and chanting war songs to celebrate the killing of Gana.
