Helicopter Crashes In Lagos
At least three persons have been feared killed after a helicopter crashed into a residential neighbourhood in Opebi, Lagos.
It was gathered that the helicopter crashed at Salvation Army Church and affected three buildings.

Trouble Looms As 16,000 Nigerians Sign Petition For EFCC To Investigate Tinubu
Over 16,000 Nigerians have signed a petition on Change.org calling for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC to investigate the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Former Lagos Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that the petition was launched by a Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri. A vocal critic of the Muhammadu Buhari Administration, Omokri titled the petition “Calling on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to investigate Bola Tinubu for contravening the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act of 2011, by having bullion vans ferry alleged large sums of money into his house on the eve of the 2019 Presidential election”.
The Petition which had about 16,200 signatures as at Friday morning has gone viral. Soyinka Kicks Against Return Of Rejected Water Bill
Professor Wole Soyinka has kicked against supposed attempts by President Muhammadu Buhari-led government and the National Assembly to return the National Water Resources Bill rejected by the public in 2018.
The playwright’s position on the bill followed a recent report that the House of Representatives had referred the National Water Resources Bill 2020 to a “committee of the whole,” for third reading and passage.

Journalists Shun Fani-Kayode’s Press Conference
The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Akwa Ibom chapter has directed its members to boycott a press conference planned for a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode.

Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Sodomising Two Boys
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has arrested a 35-year-old teacher, Ibrahim Mohammed, of Unguwar Kadawa Quarters in Kano State for allegedly sodomising two underaged boys.
Mr Shehu Umar, the NAPTIP Zonal Commander in charge of Kano, who confirmed the incident in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Kano, noted that the command on August 25, received information that Mohammed sodomised his two underaged students at Unguwar Kadawa, Kwanar Dillalai Quarters in Kano.

Accident Claims Eight Lives In Jigawa
Eight persons have been killed in a ghastly motor accident in Gagarawa Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
